Privacy policy
Effective July 8, 2026
Fur Baby Legacy exists so you can remember an animal you loved. We collect as little about you as we can while making that work, and we don't sell any of it.
What we collect
- Account information. Your email address and a display name — either what you typed at sign-up or, if you sign in with Google, the name and email Google shares with us.
- What you publish. Memorial details, tribute text, photos, and guestbook entries are content you choose to make public. Guestbook entries can be posted without an account, with whatever name the writer provides.
- Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (pages visited, general region, device type). This involves cookies set by Google. We don't see who you are in analytics data.
- Cookies for signing in.If you have an account, we use cookies to keep you signed in. That's their only job.
How it's used
To run the site: showing memorials, attributing what you create to you, moderating guestbook entries before they appear, and keeping your account secure. We don't sell personal information, we don't share it with advertisers, and we don't send marketing email.
Who else touches the data
We build on trusted infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf: Supabase (database, authentication, and photo storage), Vercel (hosting), and Google (analytics, and sign-in if you choose it). Each processes only what their role requires.
Permanence, and what you can remove
Memorials are meant to be permanent — that's our promise. Approved guestbook entries are immutable by design. But permanence is the memorial's, not a trap for your account: you can delete memorials you created, and you can ask us to delete your account and its data.
Children
Fur Baby Legacy isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.
